Prepared as a decoction
It is also used in Pill or Powder form.
Nourishes Kidney and Liver Yin, Moves Qi
1. Acid Reflux, GERD
2. Abdominal or Epigastric Pain
3. Liver disease
4. Fatty Liver
5. Chronic Hepatitis (proven effect)
6. Cirrhosis, Fibrosis of the Liver (Proven effect)
7. Liver Cancer
8. Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy side effects
9. Essential Hypertention
10. Hyperthyroidism (Yin deficiency with rising Yang)
11. Thrombocytopenic purpura
12. Lupus erythematosus
13. Diabetes Mellitus
14. Premenstrual Tension (PMS)
15. Premature Ovarian Failure (proven effective)
16. Pre-eclampsia
The above is taken in 3 equal doses over the day
Pill or Powder, take 2–3 grams, twice daily with warm water.
1. Not suitable for Phlegm and Damp disorders.
2. Caution in weak Stoamch
1. Some versions add Paeonia Bai Shao and Licorice.
2. Fatty Liver, combine with Xiao Yao San
3. Premenstrual Tension (PMS), combine with Xiao Yao San
4. Hyperthyroidism or Goiter, combine with Tian Wan Bu Xin Dan.
5. Hyperthyroidism with more Heat,a dd Anemmarhena Zhi Mu
6. Hypertention with Liver Heat and Yin deficiency, add Self Heal (Xia Ku Cao) and Scutellaria (Huang Qin)
7. Ovarian dysnfunction, add Paeonia Bai Shao, Paeonia Mu Dan Pi, Ligusticum Chuan Xiong
8. Chronic Hepatitis or Cirrhosis, add Paeonia Bai Shao, Turmeric (Jiang Huang)
9. Lupus erythematosus take with Si Miao Yong An Tang
