6 grams ea.

Preparation:


All the medicines are individually prepared according to traditional methods. Then they are all powdered, mixed, and formed into pills.

Function:


Clears Wind and Damp, opens the Channels, moves the Blood and Qi, relieves swelling and pain

Use:


1. Degenerative Arthritis
2. Rheumatoid Arthritis
3. Osteoarthritis
4. Sciatica
5. Trigeminal Neuralgia
6. Hemiplegia
7. Post-Stroke Paralysis
8. Peripheral Neuropathy
9. Muscular Dystrophy, numbness and wasting of the extremities
10. Raynaud’s Disease


Dose:


3 grams twice daily, preferably on an empty stomach
Best to begin with a lesser dose (1500mg–2 grams) and increase as needed.


Cautions:


Cao Wu and Chuan Wu are 2 very potent types of Aconite, being far stronger and more toxic than the more commonly used “Daughter” root Fu Zi.
Due to the toxicity of the two Aconites, this medicine (if used) should only be bought as a patent medicine from reputable sources. Use only as directed.
1. Not used in there are any signs of Heat or Yin deficiency. It is very Heating.
2. Not used in Pregnancy
3. Not used in those with Heart disease or taking Heart medication.


Modifications:


1. If there is Liver and Kidney Yin deficiency, take with Du Huo Ji Sheng Wan.
2. Neuralgia or Sciatica, add Paeonia Bai Shao and Saposhnikovia Fang Feng
3. Severe pain add Corydalis Yan Hu Suo.
4. It is both more e
ffective and corrected if Atractylodes Bai Zhu and Licorice are added.
5. To help correct the toxicity of the Aconites, Ginger and Licorice can be added. A decoction of these herbs can be prepared to take the powder with.
6. For Paralysis or Hemiplegia following stroke, add Salvia
Dan Shen and Notoginseng San Qi

A very potent formula, it is only suitable for strong patients, or those with very marked Cold and Damp symptoms.
