Powder
Disperses Wind, Clears Heat and Damp
Rashes or red patches over the skin with itching and exudation with red tongue and strong or rapid pulse.
1. Dermatitis (allergic, contact)
2. Neurodermatitis
3. Acne
4. Pruritus
5. Urticaria
6. Eczema
7. Psoriasis
8. Lichen planus
9. Ringworm
10. Tinea
11. Genital Warts
12. Schonlein-Henoch purpura
13. Poison Oak, Poison Ivy
Powder: 3–6 grams, 2–3 times dialy with Warm Water or Green Tea.
It can also be applied topically, eitehr as a powder in Damp cases, or in an ointment base.
Not used in marked deficiency (or can be used along with tonic formula)
1. Acute Wind-Heat, add Lonicera Jin Yin Hua, Forsythia Lian Qiao
2. Heat in the Blood, add Paeonia Mu Dan Pi and Paeonia Chi Shao Yao
3. Severe itching from Heat and Toxin, add Lonicera Jin Yin Hua, Forsythia Lian Qiao, Dandelion (Pu Gong Ying)
4. Wet-Ecezma, add Plantain seed (Che Qian Zi) and Job’s Tears (Yi Yi Ren)
5. Eczema from Wind-Heat, add Paeonia Mu Dan Pi and Tribulus Ci Ji Li
6. Chronic Eczema, take with Si Wu Tang
7. Psoriasis, add Paeonia Mu Dan Pi, Scutellaria Huang Qin, Dictamnus Bai Xian Pi, Forsythia Lian Qiao
8. Damp-Heat, add Scutellaria Huang Qin and Coptis Huang Lian
9. Liver Heat, take with Long Dan Xie Gan Tang (as a powder)
10. More toxic Heat, add Rhubarb
11. Chronic Skin disease with Heat and Toxin, add Madder (Qian Cao) and Rhubarb (Da Huang)
12. Urticaria from Wind-Cold, add Ephedra Ma Huang and Cinnamon twig (Gui Zhi)
