Collected Treatises of Jing-Yue (Jing Yue Quan Shu)
* Atractylodes Bai Zhu, Paeonia Bai Shao and Tangerine peel (Chen Pi) are all stir-fried until aromatic and yellow.
Powder. Also used in pill form or as a decoction.
Moves Liver Qi, Strengthens Spleen
Wind, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea with pain, white tongue coat
1. Acute Gastroenteritis
2. Chronic Diarrhea
3. Irritable Bowel Disease
4. Crohn’s disease
5. Chronic Colitis
The above decoction is divided into 3 equal doses to be taken over the course of a day.

2. Watery Diarrhea add Plantain seed (Che Qian Zi), Water Plantain (Ze Xie), Ginger (Gan Jiang)
3. Diarrhea associated with Food Stagnation, add Hawthorn fruit (Shan Zha)
4. Marked weakness from Qi deficiency, add Codonopsis Dang Shen and Astragalus Huang Qi
