** This may refer to Laserpitium siler, the former name of Siler spp. It may also be Silphion. The sources said “Tremula arboris” may be used.
*** Cyperus cufensis was l;isted int he text. Cyperus rotundus can be used
**** Satyrion (Orchid) was listed as a substitute in the text. However, as some types of Orchis were called Fox Testicles, perhaps that was intended all along.
Powder and form a confection with sufficient amount of equal parts Sugar and Honey.
The stones should be well levigated before use.
