Sperm; Semen

In the Western and Unani Tradition a great deal of importance was place on medicines to Nourish and Increase Sperm. These were viewed a male tonics and may be given to a male while the female is having medicines for Infertility in order to increase likelihood of conception. Medicines that increase Sperm often also increase Essence, and Essence tonics are important for other purposes such as increasing Longevity and enabling deeper meditation.

In TCM medicines that increase Sperm are Yin Tonics, and likewise a lot of importance is placed on nourishing Yin (Sperm) to enable Yang (Sex drive). Ayurvedic medicines of the Rasayana class tend to nourish Sperm too
