Botanical name:


Solms-Laubachia eurycarpa (syn. Solms-laubachia dolicocarpa, Solms-laubachia latifolia)
In Tibetan Medicine it is one of the three Sro lo:
  1. Solms-Laubachia
  2. Rhodiola spp.
  3. Phaeonychium parryoides

Cool, Sweet, Bitter

Uses:


1. Clears Lung Heat, Stops Cough:
-Cough, Bronchitis

2. Clears Heat and Poison:
-Cold, Flu, acute Cough
-Epidemic Fevers


Dose:


Powder: 1–3 grams
Decoction: 3–9 grams

Substitutes:


1. Stellaria dichtoma is used in Russia
2. Rhodiola (another variety of Sro lo) may generally be used and is easier to acquire.

Main Combinations:


1. Lung Heat Cough, Bronchitis, Upper respiratory tract infection, Pneumonia in children, combine Solms-Laubachia Sro lo smug po with Tabasheer, Safflower, White Sandalwood, Licorice
