Function:


Clears Lung Heat, clears Heat-Phlegm, stops Cough and Wheezing

Use:


1. Lung-Heat Chronic Cough
2. Chronic Bronchitis
3. Asthma from Heat and Phlegm
4. Stu
ffiness or Congestion of the Chest
5. Chest Pain from Heat and Phlegm obstruction
6. Coughing of sputum with Blood and pus
7. Chronic Lung disease


Dose:


1 1⁄2–3 grams, once or twice daily with warm water

Cautions:


None noted

Modifications:


1. Another version uses Long Pepper (Pi pi ling) in place of Raisin.
2. A Chinese version (ie. a version made in China by Chinese Pharmaceutical companies) lists Gardenia (Zhi Zi) in place of Emblic Myrobalan, which is listed in Tibetan texts.
