Use:


    ‘It comforts the Head, Stomach and Heart, is good against Epilepsy, Migraine, Vertigo, Apoplexy, Fainting and Swooning Fits, Sickness and Illness of the Stomach’. (Salmon)
    ‘A very wholesome potion, especially in all cold sicknesses. It strengthens the Digestive virtue of the Stomach, it causes Appetite, it fortifies the Heart, the Brains, and the Sinews, it gives a fair pleasant color, not only drunken, but also the face washed therewith; it consumes all inward putrefied Humours, and it preserves the body from all sickness … it is also very good, that all outward Ulcers, viz. the Canker, fresh wounds, and such like sores be washed therewith. Further, this wine is good for all diseases of the Lights [Lungs], for the Consumption, and especially for all them that are Rheumatic, and moist of Brains. It is also good for the Palsy, against the Falling Sickness, against the Lameness, and against the cold Matrix, it heats and dries the same, and makes it also meet for Conception’. (Wirtzung)
    Rosemary Wine is also good for various Arthritis and Rheumatic disorders.
    In more modern times, Rosemary wine has been used for low blood Pressure. Also used to strengthen the Gums and Teeth. In addition, it was used to clear Phlegm.
