Preparation:


Powder

Function:


Warms the Stomach, Promotes Digestion, Clears Phlegm, Stops Cough

Use:


1. Nausea, Vomiting
2. Wind, bloating, rumbling
3. Indigestion, Poor appetite
4. Diarrhea
5. Irritable Bowel Syndrome
6. Malabsorption
7. Anemia
8. Fever, Colds, Influenza, Recurring Colds
9. Cough, Bronchitis
10. Asthma

Dose:


2–3 grams twice daily with Honey, Ghee or Hot Water (API says 5 grams daily in divided doses)
In Children, 500mg–1 gram twice daily is given.
For Phlegm or productive Cough, take with Honey or Hot Water
For dry cough and thirst, take with Ghee, or a mixture of Ghee (2 parts) and Honey (1 part)
