* Sulphur is best prepared for internal use. Flowers of Sulphur (sublimed Sulphur) can be used.

Preparation:

Powder, mix with Vinegar to a paste from which form pills the size of a (small) bean.

Function:

Clears Cold Phlegm, Stops Cough and Asthma

Use:

1. Cough with excess Phlegm
2. Asthma
3. Shortness of Breath

Dose:

Take 3 pills (1–1.5 grams) morning and evening.
The source text says to take some digestive medicine afterwards.

Cautions:

1. This is a relatively strong medicine which should be used cautiously. Both Birthwort and Peganum are strong and potentially toxic medicines.
2. Birthwort should be omitted or substituted.
3. Not used during Pregnancy

Modifications:

1. Prepared Arum root may be used in place of Birthwort
2. This will be both stronger and better corrected if a little Licorice is added.
