Preparation:


Decoct, adding the Senna in the last 5 minutes, and steep in the warm decoction for 15 minutes before straining.

Function:


Clears Liver Heat, Opens

Use:


1. Used for Liver Obstruction manifesting as distention under the ribs, nausea, irritability, strong colored Urine, with a red tongue and yellow coating;
2. Cholecystitis;
3. Gall Stones;
4. Jaundice
5. Diarrhea

6. Urinary tract infections etc.
7. It is useful in certain Skin diseases, Cachexia and Amenorrhea in Liver Heat conditions or those obstructed.
8. It cleanses the Stomach, Liver and Bowels, as well as the Blood, and may therefore be used in the Spring as a Liver tonic.


Dose:


a good draught (cupful) is taken morning and night, the above being enough for 3 days (6 doses) for one person.
