Collected Treatises of Jing-Yue (Jing Yue Quan Shu)
Decoction, adding 3–7 slices of fresh Ginger.
Resolves Phlegm, Guides Qi Downwards, Stops Cough and Wheezing
Lasting Wind-Cold disorder with Cough, Wheezing, with white, sticky, hard-to-clear sputum
1. Bronchitis
2. Persistent Cough
3. Asthma
The above is taken over the course of the day in three equal doses.
Not for Heat-type Cough.
1. More severe Wheezing, add ma Huang
2. More severe Cough, add Coltsfoot (Kuan Dong Hua) and Platycodon (Jie Geng)

Preparation:
Decoction, adding 3–7 slices of fresh Ginger.
Function:
Resolves Phlegm, Guides Qi Downwards, Stops Cough and Wheezing
Use:
