equal parts

Preparation:


Powder and form pills with equal parts of Honey and Ginger juice the size of a pea.

Function:


Clears Heat and Phlegm, Stops Cough, Stops Bleeding

Use:


Heat-type Cough with blood-streaked sputum, irritability, red tongue with yellow coating and a rapid pulse.
1. Hemoptysis
2. Pulmonary Tuberculosis
3. Bronchiectasis
4. Acute severe Bronchitis
5. Tonsillitis
6. Lung Cancer

Dose:


Hold a pill in the mouth and swallow the saliva.

Cautions:


1. Not used in Cold conditions.
2. Not used in Yin deficiency
3. Not used in digestive weakness with loose stool

Modifications:


1. Hemoptysis, take with Yunnan Bai Yao
2. Also for Hemoptysis, take with Notoginseng San Qi
3. Severe Cough, add Apricot kernel (Xing Ren)
4. Profuse Sputum, add Tabasheer (Tian Zhu Huang)
5. Excess Heat that has damaged the Yin, add Ophiopogon Mai Men Dong.
