1⁄2 oz.
1 handful


1 pugil ea.
1⁄2 dram
1⁄2
scruple

Preparation:


Infuse in 8 oz. of white wine; strain, add Sugar 1⁄2 oz. and dissolve.

Function:


Clear Liver Heat, opens the Liver, relieves Jaundice

Use:


1. specifically for Jaundice.
2. May be useful for Cholecystitis and Gall Stones and Liver disease


Dose:


1–2 oz., taken for 7 days

Cautions:


None noted

Modifications:


1. In this recipe, Roman Wormwood or Wormwood can replace Sea Wormwood. Sea Wormwood is similar to, but milder than Wormwood.
2. Sa
fflower can replace Saffron in a larger dose (1⁄2 dram)
