* Despite listing Kha Che Gur Gum which refers to true Saffron rather than Safflower, the large dose suggests Safflower would be used. If Saffron is used, the dosage will geenrally be reduced.
**  Russian sources use Costus in place of this medicine

Preparation:


Traditionally used as a decoction.
Today, it is commonly used in Pill form. Typically made in Pills weighing 1500mg.

Function:


Clears Heat, Resists Poison, Disperses Wind, Regulates Humors

Use:


This is a special remedy used to help identify various disorders, especially compounded and chronic Poisoning, Bad Kan Smug Po, and Chronic Fever. In these cases, it helps collect and return the condition to its source for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment. In addition, it can is used for the following conditions:

1. Poisoning: collects and eliminates Poison from the body (primary function)
2. Food Poisoning
3. Intoxication, including Hangover
4. Chronic Fever and chronic Heat diseases
5. Lasting or Recurrent Common Cold or Flu (not acute)
6. Blood and Bile diseases (ie. Heat in the Blood)
7. Chronic gastrointestinal disorders (peptic ulcer, gastritis, inflammatory bowel diseases)
8. Enlarged or Fatty Liver
9. Cysts or Tumors of the Liver
10. Vomiting Blood
11. Uterine Bleeding
12. Helps balance 3 Humors

Dose:


Cooked as a regular decoction and taken twice daily.
In Pill or Powder form, 2–3 grams twice daily with hot water..

This is a special medicine. It collects are treats various chronic types of poisoning. It regulates Heat and Cold, balances Bile and Phlegm without aggravting Wind, thereby helping balance the Humors. It is also useful in treating Chronic digestive diseases associated with Bad Kan Smug Po.
