* Drungtso says Bya ma bye’u is “Flying Squirrel” and Sha means meat He gives the name Petauista petaurista. Other sources have given the name Pteromys volans (Siberian Flying Squirrel). Thus it appears to be flesh of a Flying Squirrel.

Preparation:


Powder and form Pills (or use as a powder)

Function:


Moves the Blood, Expels Fetus

Use:


1. Promotes Labor (when due and already begun)
2. Removes a Dead Fetus
3. Expels Placenta

Dose:


1–2 grams

Cautions:


This is only used under the guidance of an experienced Physician.

Modifications:


Flying Squirrel (Wu Ling Zhi) may be an acceptable substitute for Flying Squirrel.
