* Bitter Costus is generally regarded to be Inula racemosa. Costus root could also be used.

Preparation:


Powder and with three times their weight of Honey, form an Electuary.

Function:


Clears Phlegm and Damp, Warms the Yang, Stops Cough, Resists Poison

Use:


1. Phlegm diseases
2. Black Bile diseases
3. Phlegm Cough
4. Asthma
5. Edema
6. Difficult Urination
7. Inveterate Fever
8. Antidote to lethal poisons including Hemlock
9. Scorpion Bite

Dose:


1⁄2 dram
