Latin Cuminum cyminum Zingiber officinalis Cinnamonum zeylanicum Eugenia caryophyllus Aquillaria agallocha Myristica fragrans Alpina officinarum Piper longum Elettaria cardamomum Moschus Amount 10 drams 1⁄2 oz. ea. 2 1⁄2 drams ea. 2 drams ea. 1⁄2 scruple

Preparation:

Powder the herbs and mix with three times their weight of clarified Honey to form an Electuary.

Function:

Clears Cold and Wind, moves Qi, promotes Digestion, opens Obstructions, warms the Stomach and Bowels

Use:

1. Wind Colic
2. Cold Pain of the Stomach or Bowels
3. Indigestion, Bloating associated with Cold and Damp
4. Warms and Strengthens the Stomach
5. Hiccough, Belching
6. Tightness of the Sinews associated with Cold, Wind and Damp
7. Cough and difficulty Breathing from Cold and Phlegm
8. Used for Cold pain of the Kidneys
9. Promotes Menstruation and relieves Pain associated with Cold obstruction
10. Promotes Fertility in Cold and Damp bodies

None noted

Modifications:

Sandalwood can replace Aloeswood, and Storax could be used in place of Musk.

Similar Formulas:

This is similar to Diacyminum of Nicholas which was more commonly used.

It was generally listed as a powder, but was also made into an Electuary as this.
