Preparation:


Form a powder, then with a sufficient amount of Sugar, form and Electuary or Tablets S.A.

Function:


Warms the Stomach, moves Qi, clears Cold and Damp, relieves Spasm and Pain

Use:


1. Wind, Colic
2. Nausea
3. Obstruction of the Stomach or Spleen
4. Indigestion or Poor Stomach function associated with Damp and Qi stagnation
5. Arthritis
6. Kidney pain associated with Cold, Wind and Damp


Dose:


1⁄2–1 dram

Cautions:


None noted

Modifications:


The Herbs of Calamint and Pennyroyal can be used in place of the seed; Lovage root can also be used in place of the seed.
