Preparation:


Prepare a standard Decoction

Function:


Clears Heat and Poison from the Blood

Use:


Chronic Eczema; may also be used for other chronic Heat-type skin diseases including Psoriasis and Chronic Acne.

Dose:


take 1 cupful, three times daily; or to be taken throughout the day

Cautions:


None noted

Modifications:


1. One version replaced Dandelion with half its weight of Poke root. This is then simmered in 2 pints down to 1 1⁄2 pints, left to cool, and strained. Dose is 1 tablespoonful to a wineglassful, three times daily. (Wonders in Weeds, W. Smith, 1977)
2. Another version replaced Dandelion with Queen’s Delight root and Echinacea.
