This formula has a number of different versions listed by various sources. As with a number of the larger Tibetan formulas, there is often a difference in the basic formula, but in this case, the differences are significant. One version, given by Tsarong, has Camphor in the smallest proportion of all medicines, whereas this version has Camphor in one of the largest proportions. This may be due to the use of refined and unrefined Camphor resin respectively. The basic ingredients given are generally similar with doses being the main difference.
This is the basis for the modern patented formula Padma 28.
