Pharmacopoeia Augustana like other early European Pharmacopoeias is a compilation of formulas, largely from Mesue and Nicholas. It is concise, easily legible being well laid out for its time with other useful information such as Substitute medicines.
There were a number of Renovata, or later editions with additional formulas added from other authors.
