Bolbostemma paniculatum (syn. Actinostemma multilobum, Actinostemma paniculatum, Mitrosicyos paniculatus, Schizopepon fargesii)

Cool, dry. Bitter, Sweet

Uses:


1. Clears Heat and Toxin, Resolves Masses:
-Scrofula, Chronic Lymphadenitis
-Tuberculosis of the Lymph nodes
-Toxic Sores and Swellings
-Mastitis, Breast Abscess
-Snake and Insect Bites
-topically to Warts


Dose:


Decoction: 3–9 grams
Powder: 1–3 grams

Substitute:


Bulbostemma Tu Bei Mu is an adulterant/substitute for Fritillaria Chuan Bei Mu. However, it has its own entry in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Chuan Bei Mu, though more expensive, is more readily available and may be used in its place.
