Most chronic inflammatory conditions involve Blood stasis, as is Cirrhosis, Fibrosis and Tumors. Likewise Chest pain and Angina Pectoris is also associated with Blood Stasis. Many gynecological diseases are related to Blood stasis including Dysmenorrhea, Endoemtriosis and Fibroids and usually there will be accompanying dark blood or blood clots in the menstrual blood.

Symptoms of Blood stasis include sharp, stabbing, fixed pain, dull complexion, purplish color of the nails, lips and tongue, a choppy pulse. Females will have dark or clotted menstrual Blood. Chronic pain following Trauma indicates unresolved Blood stasis.
