Herpetopsermum is a member of the Curcubitaceae, and has heat-cl;earing, purgative properties. It is perhaps a Himalayan equivalent to the purgatives of the same genus used in the West such a Colocynth and Bitter Cucumber. If so, this formula is very similar to Bile purgatives formulas of Western and Unani medicine.
