Amount


1 lb.
4 oz.


2 oz. ea.
1⁄2 pint


Preparation:


Pour 1 gallon of boiling water upon the Burnt Hartshorn and Gum Arabic, mix; add the Cinnamon water, root and rind. Steep, until cool and strain

Function:


Astringent, Clears Heat

Use:


1. This was given constantly in large amounts in all kinds of Fluxes (Leakages including Diarrhea).
2. also given in Fevers, Measles and Small Pox to cool and protect from the Diarrhea that often accompanies.

Dose:


Half cupful doses may be taken three times daily, or every 2 or 3 hours if needed
